Leadership Experience

General Secretary of NITT, Student council member
  • Nominated by the Students of NITT to lead various commities such as Campus development commitee and students' welfare comittee in the campus and had been responsible for various other campus developement activities .
  • Instrumental in establishing food cafeteria for the students in the campus

Head of Spider, Electronics R&D club of NITT
  • Mentoring and guiding a team of 20 in various competitions and research activities in electronics field. The activities involved
    • Cars Accident Response System (C.A.R.S): The app connects the phone bluetooth to the system's bluetooth which is interfaced with micro controller that detects the accident and sends an signal to the app via bluetooth. The App on receiving the signal sends the alert message contaning GPS coordinates and address of the accident location to the near by hospital
    • RFID Smart Cane: A cane that uses RFID technology and detects the surroundings embedded with RFID tags and sends a voice signal to the blind person who's using that cane
    • Human action copying mechanical arm: Human arm is tracked usng Kinect sensor using which co-ordinates of various arm joints are determined and sent to Microcontroller via UART. The co-ordinates are processed by the microcontroller and required PWM with appropriate duty cycle is generated to control the position of servo motors which imitates the human arm.
  • Introduced the concept of 'Tech Talks'- a short lecture series on various components and techniques used in the club's project.

Teaching Experience

Organised and Conducted various embedded systems workshops
  • Workshop on embedded systems for 150+ second year students:
  • As a motive to teach juniors and share knowledge on embedded systems I organised and conducted a 6 day workshop for over 150+ second year students of NITT and provided them with hands-on experience in TI-MSP430 launchpad. This workshop was organised representing the technical club of NITT-SPIDER

  • Workshop on FPGA based system design for 60 other college students:
  • As a part of Department symposium activity, I organised and conducted a two days workshop on Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI) and embedded systems for over 60 students from various colleges. The workshop included course on Verilog and its implementation of few examples on FPGA using NB3000 Nano Board. The workshop also included course on Embedded system design which is supported by the same board.

  • Workshop on embedded systems for 20+ department research scholars:
  • Handled a session on features of microcontroller in a workshop organised by the department to teach research scholars about the TIMSP430 microcontrollers and its applications in power electronics for PWM generations and other applications.

  • Workshop on Image Processing using MATLAb for 50+ NITT students:
  • Organised and Conducted a two day workshop on basics of image processing using MATLAB and demonstrated few examples like object isolation and tracking the same. Above 50 students attended the course and gained the knowledge on Image processing.

Extra-Curricular Activities

Technical Contest participated:
  • Displayed and Presented a working prototype on 'Home Automation' at Sangam - Project display contest at Pragyan 2012, Technical Fest of National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
  • Secured a consollation prize in Autonomous Robotcs contest "Traffic Rush" at Pragyan 2011, Technical Fest of National Institute of Technology, Trichy
  • Secured second place in Autonomous Robotics contest "Code Name 47" at Pragyan 2012, Technical Fest of National Institute of Technology, Trichy.
Sports - Kho-Kho
As a school team member participated in various inter school and inter district Kho-Kho competitions during 2006.
Community Service

Participated in NSS (National Social Service) Camp to plant saplings and to spread green awareness in various schools.
